Alex & Ceri’s Beautiful Wedding at Canada Lodge & Lake

What a wonderful day celebrating Alex and Ceri’s wedding at the beautiful Canada Lodge & Lake near Cardiff. With glorious sunshine, a romantic lakeside setting and their closest family and friends around them, it was a fantastic occasion to capture through both photography and video.

Arriving in StyleCeri arrived at Canada Lodge & Lake in an incredible classic American car—a brilliant way to begin the celebrations and a real highlight to photograph.

She looked absolutely beautiful as she made her way into the ceremony with her father. Inside, Alex waited at the end of the aisle as their guests gathered to share this special moment with them.

A Beautiful Wedding CeremonyThe ceremony was filled with love, smiles and emotion as Alex and Ceri exchanged their vows and officially became husband and wife.

One of the benefits of providing both wedding photography and videography is being able to preserve the complete story of moments like these. The photographs capture the expressions and little details, while the wedding film brings back the movement, voices and atmosphere of the day.

Lakeside Wedding PhotographyAfter the ceremony, we made the most of Canada Lodge & Lake’s beautiful grounds for the couple’s photographs.

The lake, surrounding woodland and gardens created a stunning backdrop, while the sunshine gave us plenty of colour and warmth. The swing overlooking the water was a particularly lovely location for relaxed portraits of Alex and Ceri together.

Their photographs show exactly what I enjoy capturing on a wedding day: a mixture of beautiful portraits and natural moments that reflect the couple’s personalities.

One Very Brave Little BoyThere was a little unexpected drama during the day when one very brave little boy was stung by a bee on the face.

After a few tears, plenty of cuddles and reassurance, he quickly bounced back and carried on enjoying the wedding like a true champion. Weddings are full of unpredictable moments, and it is often these little stories that families remember and talk about for years afterwards.

Speeches, Cake and CelebrationsThe celebrations continued with plenty of laughter, heartfelt speeches and the cutting of the beautiful three-tier wedding cake.

As the evening arrived, Alex and Ceri shared their first dance surrounded by their family and friends. The dance floor soon filled, bringing a fantastic day to a lively and joyful conclusion.
